History

Date of Birth: May 30th, 1990
Home: Fenerbahce, Kadiköy District, Istanbul, Istanbul Province, Turkey
Family: Keykhosrow and Ruya Jahanbani (parents), Fatma (older sister), Asghar (older brother); Nuran (birth name)
Chrysalis: Preordainment (she grew up part of the royal family exiled from Iran after the Revolution of 1979; she never knew her people’s homeland, living in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods of Istanbul instead; throughout her youth, while she proved a conscientious student, she always had daydreams of living life as a tiger, until at last the dreams threatened to overcome her consciousness and sent her spinning into Chrysalis—where fantasies of running through a jungle like a tiger gave way to soaring through the sky as an eagle, and she was actually doing that), 2006
Mentor: Dje
The Test: Trial by Knowledge (though clearly unbound to mortal life now, she stayed close to her royal family; Dje appeared to her, a jinn from the other world, and he acted as her mentor over these first years—and would later keep a close on her eye without her knowledge to protect her from all threats)
Comrades: Andrea Citron, Veronica Van Ness, Malina Maytin, Ophelia Strauss, Yewande Temitope, Huang Lifen
Key Event #1: Awe & Wonder (once old enough, she went to Istanbul University but her sisters and fellow contemporary princesses urged her to drop out and join them as a model; she reluctantly agreed but only did so for a year before quitting that and disappearing to Afghanistan, serving there as a volunteer teacher at the new girls’ schools popping up—changing her name to Samira Rostami to avoid trouble with those who might hate her family still)
Key Event #2: War (but Samira’s activities drew the wrath of the divs and they soon backed Taliban attacks on her schools and students, driving her mercilessly out of Afghanistan)
Transition: Defeat (nearly martyred and murdered, she was rescued by Dje and approached by Queen Serena, who offered her distant protection and a chance to do good for many young ladies, so Samira agreed to join the Ensemble and started attending Berkeley to finish her education)

Significant Others

The Shanghaied Ensemble of Royalty is a massive collective of "fairy princesses" to which she blithely and merrily belongs. Visit this link for the full skinny:

Weakness
Soul of the Exile

It is ironic that a Pahlavi princess also becomes a Peri, considering those ancient angelic spirits also dwell in exile from Heaven. Her dual life mirrors itself, but this does not by any means bestow wisdom. It can simply mean misery, as so many of her relatives experience.

Likelihood of Corruption

Low.

She may be an exile and a fae constantly at war with its Light and Dark sides. But she has a solid moral backbone and a generous heart.
