The Test: Trial by Combat (the vicious voodoo fight attracted Le Dent like a vulture, and he found the boy on the rooftop overwatch; he taught and trained the fresh Wilder, then Briques had to prove his physical skills in a duel with his mentor and ability to take as well as dish out punishment; let his hand get bit off in the fight but cold-clocked Le Dent; later restored his own hand with magic)

Key Event #1: Treachery (finding ordinary Redcaps "too soft", he felt no real loyalty to the corby; he set up a deadly crossfire war to both get rid of those faeries who knew too much about him and to take revenge for his parents' deaths by whispering a "blessing" to the cops while luring the Bata'a and the corby to a back alley brawl that the cops would interrupt; many died, including some of the younger Bata'a and all the Redcaps)
Key Event #2: War (the death metal band Hellstain was comprised of the so-called Frontman but also several Mannikin dolls, who eventually all came after Briques, only to find him ready and well-defended by wicked spirits [Spectres] who ripped their bodies apart one after the other over the course of a year-long chase)
Key Event #3: Awe & Wonder (Briques rejected overtures from the Shadow Court to join their ranks, as the Grosvenors always stood apart, and even as he rebuffed attempts to strong-arm him by outmagicing Balor thugs, by the whisper of dark spirits he began to communicate with Nahuani voudouns across the Gulf and Caribbean and make shadowy alliances with these Gallain, particularly the Nagual, Tonauac)
Key Event #4: Treachery (finally established as a grudgingly acknowledged solo act to be feared, he began to offer his services as a bokor to fae only, setting up dark pacts with the desperate and greedy in order to fill his fey coffers with Dross and obtain souls to barter with darker forces)
Transition: Shift in Purpose (though Briques continued to draw in power from his fellow Kithain, he nurtured distant ties to Gallain sorcerers, but seized upon the opportunity to expand beyond the chores when he captured and enthralled through his dark voodoo magic the mermaid princess, Ciarda; for through her and her kin, he might just carve out a faerie kingdom across the whole region)

The Blackcaps are a rare Kith: Redcaps in every sense of the term, but if there could be Thallain of that nasty Kith, these would fit closest to that bill. Briques is cruel, vicious, voracious, scheming, treacherous, and insatiable.

To be honest, he's already pretty corrupt. But he could fall farther, especially as he uses his magic to broker deals and bargains with "dark spirits" (Spectres and Banes). But his rebellious spirit will never willingly enter into a bargain that forces him to submit to any demon.
